A Letter from Dr. Shaw

Dear valued patients and friends,

As I celebrate my 40th year of orthodontics in Marysville, I want to thank all of you who have given me the privilege of being your orthodontist. Your confidence and trust in me and my team has been professionally rewarding and personally humbling. The relationships that I've formed with many of you have been a big and memorable part of my life, and I will forever be grateful for the friendship opportunities that emanated from my career in this beautiful area.

It is with mixed emotions that I announce I am retiring from the active practice of orthodontics. I'm looking forward with excitement to retirement and spending more relaxed time with family and friends.  I look back with fondness and pride to my years here with you. Orthodontics involves teamwork from start to finish, and we have made many wonderful accomplishments together. Thank you for your kindness, your loyalty, and your trust.

For the benefit of patients, parents and team members, it has always been my goal to phase out gradually. Dr. Robert Lee and my team began this process in April of last year, and the professional transition has exceeded my expectations. I plan to remain available whenever Dr. Robert needs my assistance.

Those of you who know Dr. Robert are already aware of what a fantastic orthodontist he is. To those of you who have not met him, please be assured that you are in great hands. Have faith and trust in Dr. Lee -- he is a gifted orthodontist who truly puts his heart, soul, knowledge and technical expertise into his work.

I want to thank all of you. Many of you were more than patients and/or parents of patients, but friends that I looked forward to seeing at each and every visit. It means more to me than I could ever express. Please know that you have my best wishes for the future!

Sincerely,

Dr. Dan F. Shaw
